Privacy policy
Last updated 21 August 2026. There is no account to create here, so there is not much to collect. Here is all of it.
Who is responsible
- bidrush.lol is run by one person, who decides what happens to everything described on this page.
- Privacy questions and requests go to @bcaparing on X.
What we collect
- The link you submit. The URL or @handle, plus the title, description and icon we read from that page. This is public by design. It is the listing.
- Payment records. We store the amount, the time, and Stripe’s reference for the payment. We never receive your card number, and we do not store your name, billing address or email. Stripe holds those under its own policy.
- One visitor cookie. A random identifier in a first-party cookie, used only to keep the “online” and “been here” counters from counting the same browser twice. It is not linked to a listing, a payment or a person.
- Click counts. We count clicks per listing as a plain total. We do not record who clicked, build profiles, or attach anything to the outbound link.
- Server logs. Our host keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and debugging.
- There is no analytics vendor, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracking script anywhere on this site.
Why we're allowed to
- Listing data and payment records: to perform the contract you enter when you bid.
- The visitor cookie, click counts and logs: our legitimate interest in running the site, showing honest activity figures, and keeping it from being abused.
Who else is involved
- Stripe processes payments and receives whatever you type into its checkout.
- Vercel hosts the site and Neon stores the database.
- Listing icons are loaded from the listed site itself, and where it offers none, from Google’s public favicon service or, for X handles, from unavatar.io. That means your browser makes a request to those hosts when the board renders.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Listings stay for as long as they are on the board, since that is the thing you paid for.
- Payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require.
- The visitor cookie expires after a year, or whenever you clear your browser. Clearing it simply makes you a new visitor.
Your rights
- You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Message @bcaparing on X and we will answer within a month.
- Removing a live listing on request ends the service you paid for, and does not come with a refund.
- If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
- See also our terms of service.
